Today on our 2015 Dodge Challenger, we'll be doing a test fit on the SportRack Ridge Swinging 4-Bike rack, that's for 2-inch hitches only, part number is SR2415. You'll see that we already have a bike on our bike rack, let's show you a few features. The first features we'd like to show you is the swing away, and that one goes is back here, we have a black knob. We're going to un-loosen this first. Then we want to come over here and pull apart T-clip, then we come back here and we pull up on this T-pin, and that releases is. Swing it around a little bit, then we want to swing it until it clicks like so. Swing it around, get our T-pin ready, replace that, and there you go. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Challenger we're doing a test fit of the SportRack 3 Tilting Bike Rack Carrier for 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Seeing that we already have our bike on our bike rack to our vehicle, let's show you a few features. Right here we have two straps to hold down our bike. Also, an anti-sway strap on the side. Let's go ahead and take these off. How we do it, I will always go when you're loading it, you go first with the anti-sway strap, there are two, so we're going to go backwards. Let's take off our bike, we're going to set this to the side. Now, we always replace our straps so they don't get damaged or we lose them or anything, so like so. I'll put this other strap down first. All right, got it on there now. Now let's take a few measurements. more

One feature I can show you is we have the straps here, three on top, one on the side, which we call our anti-rattle strap. I'm sorry, anti-sway strap. The seating area the bike on, our rack, right here we have our center mass and this is what we call our frame hooks. We have two straps to hold down the tires and the wheel cradles. As you can see we do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you how we put the bike on, strap it in, then also the different features of the rack itself. As you can see we do have 2 straps holding it in up at the top and then we also have an anti-sway cradle right here holding the seat post down. Just to take those out we're just going to pull and release the straps there, set those off to the side. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger, we will be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram, a Tilting 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part number SR26247. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, we'll line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, then tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure this with the provided lock. In this position, we have about 7-1/2" of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 1-1/4", and overall we've added about 31-1/2" to the length of the Challenger. The removable cradle arms on the Dura Parallelogram allow for easy storage options. With the arms removed, we only add about 10" to the length of the vehicle. With our arms reinstalled, we're ready for our bike. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger, we will be test fitting the Saris Cycle-On, a platform style 2-bike rack for 2 inch hitches, part number SA4024. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it with a wrench, then we will secure it with the provided lock. With the rack in this position, we have about 7-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicles is about 3-1/2 inches. Overall, weve added about 10 inches to the Challenger. Pulling the gold pin at the base of the rack will allow us to tilted away from the vehicle into loading position. In this position, you have about 14-1/2 inches worth at the ground clearance. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Challenger

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger we will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler, the tilting 5-bike rack for 2-inch hitches, part #HR9200. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench and secure it with the pin. In this position we have about 7 3/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 6 3/4 inch and overall we've added about 12 inches to the Challenger. As you can see in this position we do have access to the truck. However pulling the black pin at the base of the rack will allow it to tilt away from our vehicle giving us some extra space. Loosening the black knobs on the outside of our rack will allow us to bring out our dual cradle arms. We will want to secure these by tightening those knobs back down. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger, we will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler, a tilting 4 bike rack for 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, part number HR8500. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench, and secure it with a clip. With our rack secure, we will have about 7-3/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Challenger is about 3/4 inch, and overall, we've added about 4 inches to the length of the vehicle. As you can see, in this position, we do have access to our trunk; however, if you need a little more space, we can pull the pin at the base of the rack and allow it to tilt away from our vehicle. With our mast back in its upright position, we'll pull the pin at the top of the mast. This will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger we will be test fitting the Saris Axis, a tilting 3-bike rack for inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, Part Number SA843B. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and secure it with the provided lock. With everything secure, you will have about 7 1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the vehicle is about 3/4 of an inch. Overall, we've added about 9 inches to our Challenger. As you can see, you do have full access to your trunk; however, pulling the yellow handle at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt the mast away from our vehicle giving us some extra room if we need it. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes. We'll then thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench and secure it with the provided lock. In this position we have about 7 3/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 2 3/4 of an inch and overall we've added about 8 inches to the length of the vehicle. As you can see in this position we do have access to open our trunk, however if you need some extra space, the bike rack will tilt away from your vehicle, giving you that room. With our mast back in the upright position, we'll now pull the pin at the top of the mast. This is going to allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench, and secure it with the clip. In this position, you'll have about 7-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the vehicle is about 1-1/4", and overall we've added about 12" to the length of the Challenger. Pull the gray lever at the top of the bike rack. This will allow it to tilt away from our vehicle into loading position. In this position, you will have about 15-1/4" worth of ground clearance at the rear. more

While we are doing this, we want to pull out on the attached pin, want to line up our pin hole, make sure that our attached pin falls into the pin hole. Then, tighten it with the black knob. This will engage our anti-rattle device and further secure our rack to our vehicle. In this position, youll have about 8 inches worth of ground clearance. more

SportRack 3 Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Challenger

Today on our 2014 Dodge Challenger, we will be test fitting the sport rack tilting three bike rack for an inch and a quarter to two inch hitches, part number SR2403. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, then tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, we have about seven and three-quarters of an inch of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about six inches and overall, we're adding about seven and a quarter inches to the length of our vehicle. As you can see, with our mast in its upright position, you do have full access to your trunk. However, pulling the black pin at the base of the rack will allow you to tilt the mast away from your vehicle, giving you even more access. With our mast back in the upright position, we'll pull the black pin at the top of the mast. This will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. In this position, we have about 24 and a quarter inches that we've added to the rear of the Challenger. Now we'll undo our cradle straps, grab our bike, place our bike in the cradles, and secure it with the straps. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Challenger well be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace 4-Bike Carrier for both 1 and 2 inch hitches, part number y02451. Now to begin our test fit, weve already gone ahead and removed the two inch adapter so well slide the shank of the bike rack into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install that attached hitch pin. We can then move to the back of the shank where well tighten down the knob securing the anti-rattle device within the hitch. Now that our bike rack is secured well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack measures 7 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the rear bumper measures 3 inches. Well now go ahead and pull the pin here at the bottom of the bike rack mast and allow the mast to tilt down. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Challenger well be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding Tilting 4-Bike Rack with Anti-Sway Cradles for both 1 and 2 inch hitches, part number th934xtr. Now to begin our test fit, weve gone ahead and removed the two inch adapter from the bike rack shank, so well slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Now that our bolt is tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now with this bike rack secured to the vehicle, we can still open our trunk on this particular vehicle although the bike rack mast does tilt down by pulling this pin and tilting it out of the way. Well now pull the pin here at the top of the mast and bring out our dual arms where well undo the straps to expose our cradles. Well place the bike into the cradles and bring our straps around securing our bike to the bike rack. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Challenger, we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex four-bike carrier, part number th9029. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our antirattle. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and open our trunk on this vehicle. Now you'll notice with this bike rack, we can open the trunk with the bike rack folded up, but the bike rack does go ahead and fold down by pulling the hitch switch here at the bottom of the mast. We'll now fold the mast back up and move to the top of the mast where we'll pull the hitch switch and bring out our dual arms. more

Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Challenger

Today on our 2013 Dodge Challenger, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing four-bike carrier, part number th9027. Now to begin our test fit, we'll go ahead and slide the bike rack shank into the hitch and allow the integrated locking hitch pin to fall into the hitch pin hole. We'll then move to the antirattle knob where we can tighten down the knob securing the antirattle device to the hitch thereby securing the bike rack to the vehicle. At this point, we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the bike rack here at the mast to the back of the vehicle measures five inches. Our ground clearance here at the bottom of the bike rack measures seven and a half inches. more
